Skype saved me

Just about everything that could have gone wrong, happened within 24 hours of Chase boarding the plane to Norway. To sum it up... big dog hurt the little dog who peed himself he was so scared. Big dog then tried to dig to china through carpet in a house we don't own so that's going to be expensive. Charge on bank account that wasn't from me that caused a negative balance and 2 overdraft charges that can't be removed until NEXT week, new storm developed in Atlantic which had me nervous at first. Massively late to work because there was a bulldozer blocking my driveway and NO ONE IN IT. Work schedule is WAY messed up to where I only work 2 days next week... I could go on but you get it. I had about 3-4 breakdowns in the first 24 hours because it all seemed so overwhelming.

So I've heard of Skype from multiple people and I'm so glad I downloaded it. With Chase being in a different country I can't just pick up the phone and call him whenever I feel like (which totally sucks). Only after he's gone do I realize how much I take the cell phone for granted. Anyways, today we've been on and off Skype ALL day. We talked until 330am his time-- He is 6 hours ahead. I feel so much better being able to see him and literally talk to him instead of typing on Yahoo! Messenger. I feel like a lot of stress was relieved just being able to see him.

So I finally stepped up the pace and ordered the things for Morghan's birthday. I don't even want to say what I spent, because I shocked myself. Since all the big stores are an hour from here and I don't have time to drive I have things shipped here. ITS GOING TO BE CLOSE! One of her presents is scheduled to arrive the week of her birthday, but I hope it makes it early. I even ordered the plates/napkins etc for her party at school. The theme is going to be Candy Land. I already have a design drawn up. The cake is going to look like the game board so it should be interesting! I will be sure to post pictures when its done. I had lots of compliments last year on her Winnie the Pooh cake so this one should be great. I have confidence that this will work.
