Catch up

So I've seriously been slacking. Things around here have been on and off hectic lately, but it seems like its all calming down. I'm going to try and update more often so that I don't have one incredibly long blog once a month! :)

So Morghan turned 3 on the 21st. She is getting so smart these days. At her 3 year check up her doctor was amazed at how well spoken she was for her age. Friends would always tell me she is but I figured, your just parents although, I have noticed she speaks better than kids OLDER than her. Anyways, she never ceases to amaze us with the words that come out of her mouth. She will talk you to death if you let her. Here are some pictures from her birthday which was themed CandyLand.

She is obsessed with My Little Pony and Mickey Mouse so you can only imagine her excitement when she opened her new Pony and Mickey movie. As you can see from the picture she got her first tea set, and let me tell you... she plays with it every single day! I can't wait to get her a kitchen for Christmas because I know she will be all over it! She already sneaks in to the kitchen and gets a bowl and a whisk to make pretend pancakes lol. I wanted to get her the kitchen last year but I'm glad we are waiting until now because she will enjoy it more. Last year we did all "Mommy stuff" like babies, bottles, high chair, stroller, crib etc which she loved.

So the Marine Corp ball is quickly approaching and this is my first one sadly. Chase has been in the Corps for years, but he's always been deployed when the ball has come around in November so we havn't had the chance to go. I already have my ball gown which is black halter with a small train, a lace up back, and sequence. Just a month to go and Chase and I are picking up P90X again... we serisouly slacked the last 2 months with everything we had going on. When he left the country I had ZERO motivation to do anything, much less work out.

Tomorrow is October 1st. My fave day of the year simply because it begins
my fav month lol. I absolutely LOVE fall. The weather, the colors, th holidays,
the decorations! I stuck out my first Fall decorations weeks ago! I even bought
Mo's halloween costume the first week of September lol. I don't have a picture
of her wearing it, but I have a picture of the model hahaha

Skype saved me

Just about everything that could have gone wrong, happened within 24 hours of Chase boarding the plane to Norway. To sum it up... big dog hurt the little dog who peed himself he was so scared. Big dog then tried to dig to china through carpet in a house we don't own so that's going to be expensive. Charge on bank account that wasn't from me that caused a negative balance and 2 overdraft charges that can't be removed until NEXT week, new storm developed in Atlantic which had me nervous at first. Massively late to work because there was a bulldozer blocking my driveway and NO ONE IN IT. Work schedule is WAY messed up to where I only work 2 days next week... I could go on but you get it. I had about 3-4 breakdowns in the first 24 hours because it all seemed so overwhelming.

So I've heard of Skype from multiple people and I'm so glad I downloaded it. With Chase being in a different country I can't just pick up the phone and call him whenever I feel like (which totally sucks). Only after he's gone do I realize how much I take the cell phone for granted. Anyways, today we've been on and off Skype ALL day. We talked until 330am his time-- He is 6 hours ahead. I feel so much better being able to see him and literally talk to him instead of typing on Yahoo! Messenger. I feel like a lot of stress was relieved just being able to see him.

So I finally stepped up the pace and ordered the things for Morghan's birthday. I don't even want to say what I spent, because I shocked myself. Since all the big stores are an hour from here and I don't have time to drive I have things shipped here. ITS GOING TO BE CLOSE! One of her presents is scheduled to arrive the week of her birthday, but I hope it makes it early. I even ordered the plates/napkins etc for her party at school. The theme is going to be Candy Land. I already have a design drawn up. The cake is going to look like the game board so it should be interesting! I will be sure to post pictures when its done. I had lots of compliments last year on her Winnie the Pooh cake so this one should be great. I have confidence that this will work.
